What is the best frying pan for induction?
Honest answer: it depends on what you cook. Mostly frying eggs, pancakes and vegetables with little oil? Then a ceramic frying pan is the easiest choice. Want high heat and a proper crust on your meat? Go for stainless steel or cast iron. Whichever you choose, every one of our frying pans works on induction, gas, ceramic and electric hobs.
Induction frying pan: which size should you choose?
Choose a frying pan with a base roughly the same size as your cooking zone. That way your induction hob recognises the pan straight away and the whole base heats evenly.
- Frying pan 20 cm: small and handy, for an egg or a portion for one.
- Frying pan 24 cm: the everyday all-rounder.
- Frying pan 28 cm: for the whole family or a big pancake.
- Frying pan 32 cm: for those who cook for a full table.

Frequently asked questions about frying pans for induction
Does every Cook & Pan frying pan work on induction?
Yes. Every frying pan has a magnetic base and works on induction, gas, ceramic and electric hobs.
Which size induction frying pan do I need?
For most kitchens, 24 cm is the nicest everyday size. Often cooking for one? Then 20 cm is handier. For a family or pancakes, choose 28 cm.
Why does food stick in my induction frying pan?
Usually the pan gets too hot too fast. Induction heats up much faster than gas, so start on a medium setting and use a little oil or butter. That way everything releases easily.
Can a frying pan for induction go in the dishwasher?
Our ceramic frying pans are dishwasher safe. Still, washing by hand keeps the coating looking good for longer. Cast iron is always washed by hand.
Can I use my induction frying pan on gas too?
Absolutely. Our frying pans also work on gas, ceramic and electric hobs. Handy when you move house or cook on holiday.
Can I try a frying pan for induction first?
Yes. You get 60 days of try-cooking. If the pan turns out not to suit you, just let us know.
