Buy a Wok pan, these are the advantages:
Wok pans have conquered a special place in kitchens around the world, and it's no wonder why. With their unique design and versatility, wok pans offer countless advantages for home chefs and professionals. If you're considering buying a wok pan, you're curious about the benefits you can expect. Let's take a look at why a wok pan can be a valuable addition to your kitchen.
- Versatility in cooking style: One of the biggest advantages of a wok pan is its versatility in cooking styles. Whether you're stir-frying, deep-frying, steaming or sautéing, the wok pan can be used for anything.
- Fast heating: Thanks to the design with high side walls and the round shape, the wok pan heats up quickly and evenly. This allows you to sear your dishes perfectly, just like real chefs do. Ideal for lovers of healthy and tasty meals.
- Traditional taste: Wok cooking is a traditional cooking method that adds a unique taste and texture to dishes. It gives an authentic culinary experience, especially when preparing Asian dishes.
- For all heat sources: At Cook and Pan, all wok pans are suitable for every heat source, such as: gas, induction, electric or halogen cooking.
- Ceramic non-stick coating: You can wok healthily with a healthy non-stick coating. At Cook and Pan, all wok pans are equipped with a healthy ceramic non-stick coating.
Wok pans for induction
Induction cooking offers you a very efficient and precise way of cooking, while also saving energy. Are you just switching to induction cooking, or do your pans need replacing? It is important that you buy a wok pan that works on induction. At Cook and Pan, all wok pans are suitable for induction.
Why an induction wok pan from Cook and Pan:
- Thickened bottoms: our wok pan induction is designed with a thickened bottom that prevents the pan from warping at high temperatures. This means that our induction wok pans last longer and always deliver the highest performance.
- Even heating: Thanks to our special induction bottom, the heat is quickly and evenly distributed over the entire surface of the wok pan. Result: consistent and tasty dishes
- Perfect fit on cooking zones: The bottom of our induction wok pan is precisely matched to the standard cooking zones, which means that you get the maximum efficiency from the induction hob. No energy waste, no compromises, just results.
Wok pan PFAS free: a healthier choice
In the search for a good wok pan, it is important to choose a wok pan without PFAS. PFAS is a much-discussed topic in the kitchen world and that is not without reason. PFAS stands for poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances. These are chemical substances that are sometimes found in the non-stick coatings of wok pans, among other things. This chemical substance can be released when the pan is overheated and can be harmful to your health and the environment. So you don't want this in your wok pan!
Choose a healthy non-stick coating:
The healthy alternative is a wok pan with a ceramic non-stick coating. At Cook and Pan, we have developed our own safe non-stick coating: GreenShield. This consists of multiple layers of ceramic, which is very smooth. This allows your dishes to glide smoothly through the pan and prevents it from sticking. Ceramic is pure mother nature and therefore safe and healthy.
Different types of wok pans
If you would like to buy a wok pan, it is important that you choose a wok pan that suits you well. This mainly depends on your cooking style, family situation, budget and functionalities. For example, are you going for the Stainless steel wok pan Honey, or would you prefer an aluminum Wok from the Signature collection? At Cook and Pan, we would like to take you through the most important aspects in which you can classify a wok pan:
- Material: When choosing a wok pan, there are two common types of material to consider: aluminum and stainless steel (RVS). Aluminum is known for its great heat conduction, light weight and ease of maintenance. Stainless steel, on the other hand, is more durable and can better withstand extreme heat, for example with an open fire. In general, an aluminum wok pan is used the most.
- With or without non-stick coating: A good non-stick coating is pleasant when wok cooking. Wok pans are available with and without a non-stick coating. Both options are fine, but a wok pan without a non-stick coating requires a little more maintenance such as burning in. If you choose a non-stick coating, always go for ceramic.
- Size: You prefer to wok with a larger size, for example a 30 cm wok pan. Do you expect to wok for several people? Then a 32 cm wok is a good alternative. These are available with and without lid.
Not just a wok pan, complete the entire set:
Unity in your kitchen? That starts with pans that have the same look. In addition to wok pans, our collection also offers cookware sets, frying pans, casserole pans, saucepans and sauté pans. This way you always go for style and quality!
