Ceramic wok pan: stir-frying without sticking
A Cook & Pan ceramic wok pan has a smooth ceramic non-stick coating, without PFAS, PTFE or any other synthetic coating. Vegetables, chicken, prawns and noodles glide right through, and a tablespoon of oil is enough for a whole portion. The high sides keep everything in the pan as you stir.

How does a ceramic non-stick coating work?
The coating is made of silicon oxide, a mineral also found in sand and glass. It is applied to the wok at high temperature and cured into a smooth, hard layer. No plastic and no polymer, so nothing from the coating ends up in your food.
Ceramic wok: aluminium or stainless steel?
Both have the same smooth ceramic coating. A ceramic wok with an aluminium body is light, so it is easy to handle, and quick to heat. A wok from our Honey line is made of stainless steel: sturdier, more scratch-resistant and a little heavier in the hand. Also browse all stainless steel pots and pans.
What do you use a ceramic wok pan for?
For anything that cooks quickly on a good heat: stir-fried vegetables, chicken, prawns, fried rice and noodles. The high sides also come in handy for a curry or a quick sauce. A ceramic wok pan is at its best on a medium to high setting. Love wokking over a big open flame at the very highest heat? Then a steel wok is a better fit.
Ceramic wok pan for induction
Our ceramic wok pans have a flat, magnetic base and work on induction, gas, ceramic and electric hobs. Wokking on induction? Also read our tips on the induction wok pan page.
How to keep your ceramic wok pan smooth for longer
A ceramic coating is hard, but it does not like shocks. Use a wooden or silicone spatula, let the wok cool for a moment before rinsing and preferably wash it by hand with a soft sponge. Lift the wok rather than sliding it across the hob, which spares both your pan and your hob.
How long does a ceramic wok pan last?
Your ceramic wok pan comes with a 7-year warranty on manufacturing and material defects and a 2-year warranty on the performance of the ceramic coating. With the right care, you will be wokking with it for much longer. Want to feel whether it suits you first? You get 60 days of try-cooking.
Frequently asked questions about ceramic wok pans
Is there PFAS in a ceramic wok pan?
No. Our ceramic coating contains no PFAS, PFOA or PTFE. Also browse all our wok pans without PFAS.
Can a ceramic wok handle high heat?
Yes, stir-frying on a medium to high setting works perfectly. Just do not leave the wok empty on the highest setting for long, which keeps the coating smooth for longer.
What size is a ceramic wok pan?
Our ceramic wok pans are 30 cm, the size that makes it easy to stir-fry for two to four people.
Can a ceramic wok pan go in the dishwasher?
It can, but washing by hand keeps the ceramic coating looking good for longer.
Why does my ceramic wok stick?
Usually the wok is not hot enough yet when the food goes in, or there is a thin layer of burnt-on fat on the base. Preheat the wok briefly and clean it thoroughly with warm water and a soft sponge.
Can I try a ceramic wok pan first?
Yes. You get 60 days of try-cooking. If the wok turns out not to suit you, just let us know.
