How long do I have a warranty?

We offer a 7-year warranty on your Cook and Pan product against manufacturing and material defects. However, the warranty for the ceramic non-stick coating is limited to two years from the date of purchase. This warranty is valid when you use the product for domestic purposes and according to our instructions, such as heating the pan on a low to medium heat to prevent warping. Defects resulting from incorrect use are not considered manufacturing and material defects. The same applies to normal wear and tear, such as discoloration and scratches. If the product shows any defects during the warranty period, do not hesitate to contact our customer service at info@cookandpan.nl . We are always there for you.

Is the non-stick coating without toxic substances?

Yes! We have developed our own ceramic non-stick coating that is 100% free of PFAS.

What does a ceramic non-stick coating mean?

Ceramic pans are pans with a ceramic coating or
non-stick coating. They consist of ceramic, which is a material that is often made from baked clay.

Ceramic has the advantage that it is heat resistant and more resistant to wear. The layer of natural ceramic is applied to the pan and then goes in the oven, which hardens it and provides a superior non-stick effect. This is 100% free of toxic substances such as PFAS or Teflon.

Do I not have to use oil in the pan?

In principle, you need to use almost no oil in our pan with a non-stick coating. Our customers use 90% less oil in a Cook and Pan pan , so you cook much healthier and more sustainably. In some cases, oil or butter adds more flavor to a dish or is part of the dish.

How do I ensure a long lifespan?

To extend the life of your pan, good maintenance is essential. Our pans conduct heat optimally, so heat them on a low to medium heat. This also saves you considerable energy.

Avoid sudden temperature changes and avoid rapid heating. Hand washing is recommended and it is good to store the pan lightly oiled to maintain a high-performing non-stick coating.

How do I ensure the best non-stick performance?

Our non-stick coatings are extremely good! But with these tricks you can get the most out of your pan:

  • Greasing : Heat a teaspoon of oil in the pan and then let it cool. Remove excess oil and dry the pan thoroughly. This promotes an accelerated maturing process of the pan and optimizes the performance of the non-stick coating.
  • Limit heat supply. Our frying pan is designed to maximize heat efficiency compared to traditional pans. We advise you to set the heat source level slightly than normal.
  • Patience . When preparing sticky culinary preparations such as eggs, patience is the key to success in achieving an excellent fried egg without the use of butter or oil, moderate heat is essential, followed by undisturbed cooking. Avoid repeatedly moving the food with the spatula. When the food shows some adhesion to the non-stick coating, this usually suggests that some waiting time is necessary for full heat distribution, cooking or searing. Only after this stage is removal from the pan easier.
