For every pan a matching lid. Sounds simple, but the difference between cooking with or without a lid shows up on your gas bill, on your timer and in your sauces. Below: our pan lids, universal where possible, made to fit several sizes of Cook & Pan pans at once.
Why a lid does more than you think
A lid keeps heat and moisture in. That means you cook faster, use up to 30 percent less energy and keep more flavour in the dish. Bringing pasta water to the boil saves two to three minutes; reducing a stew or sauce is literally the difference between "it'll work" and "it'll work today".
Universal: one lid, multiple pans
Our pan lids fit several sizes at once. One lid for your 24 cm and your 28 cm pan, instead of two separate ones. That saves cupboard space and money at purchase. Pair them with our frying pans or with a complete pan set.
Glass or stainless steel: which material suits you?
- Glass with silicone rim: you see what's happening without lifting the lid. The silicone rim hugs the pan and keeps steam in, even when sizes are slightly different.
- Stainless steel: solid, durable and oven-safe. No coating to peel, no plastic to melt. A bit heavier than glass.
Both are good choices; the difference comes down to "being able to peek" versus "being able to go in the oven".
Suitable for induction, gas and any other hob
A lid is pan-side, so the hob doesn't matter. Whether you cook on induction, gas, ceramic or electric: the lid works as it should. The pan underneath determines compatibility, not the lid.
PFAS-free, like all our pans
Like the rest of the Cook & Pan range, our pan lids are made without PFAS, PFOA or PTFE. No question marks above your pan, no mystery coatings. Just glass, stainless steel and silicone.
Which size do you need?
Check the bottom of your pan for the diameter, or measure across the top. Not sure? Our universal lids bridge 1 to 2 centimetres of play, so a 28 cm lid also seals nicely on a 26 cm pan. To be safe, we recommend: buy the lid in the size of your largest pan within its coverage range.
How long does a good pan lid last?
Stainless lids last literally a lifetime. Glass lids do too, as long as you don't run them under cold water straight after cooking. Silicone rims are replaceable on some models; a complete lid is rarely waste.
