The Tamagoyaki, also often called Tamago, is a Japanese rolled omelet. Besides breakfast, you can also recognize it as a topping on your sushi. There, this rolled omelet is complicated with seaweed. Very unique and also very tasty!

The Tamago proves to be a difficult dish to master. 'And even though it's just a fried egg', that's what we thought to ourselves. You can prepare it in many ways and add your own flair. Cook and Pan explains the basics to you, if you already have some experience in the kitchen this is certainly possible!

Where do we start? With the ingredients:

- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of chopped carrot
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped bacon, ham or other meat of your choice

Step 1 : Mix all ingredients together in a bowl.

Step 2 : Heat the pan over medium heat and add oil.

Step 3: Add half the contents of the bowl, spread it gently by sliding the Tamago/Tamagoyaki pan.

Step 4 : As soon as the egg takes shape, you can gently and carefully roll it up and let it rest in one side of the pan.

Step 5: Add the other half of the contents to the pan, while the rolled egg is still frying on the side. Lift the rolled egg slightly to allow the added contents to get underneath the egg.

Step 6 : Once the second content has been baked, gently roll the already rolled egg over it.
