Shakshuka is a popular dish originating from the Middle East, which you can serve for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It's a balanced meal consisting of tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, garlic, and lots of spices.

We're excited to share a delicious twist on shakshuka with you: Ravioli Shakshuka with Shrimp. In this shakshuka, you'll use ravioli and fresh shrimp instead of the traditional ingredients. The combination of fresh ravioli, flavorful tomato sauce, and colorful shrimp makes this dish a true taste sensation. Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 eggs
- 10 large shrimp
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 120 milliliters vegetable or chicken broth
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 bag spinach
- 1 bag cheese ravioli
- 80 grams crumbled feta
- Parsley
- Crusty bread, for dipping
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Then, add the bell pepper and onions and cook until softened. This takes about 10 minutes.
- Next, add the garlic until fragrant. This takes about 1 minute.
- Add tomato paste, paprika, and red pepper flakes, and stir everything until the pan is coated with the mixture.
- Finally, add the tomatoes and broth and bring to a boil.
- Season with pepper and salt to taste.
- After simmering, add the ravioli and cook covered, al dente, for 4 to 6 minutes.
- Briefly sauté the shrimp in some oil in another frying pan and add the shrimp.
Then sprinkle with feta and parsley and serve with bread for dipping, enjoy!
