Shakshuka is a popular dish originating from the Middle East, which can be served as breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It’s a balanced meal made with tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, garlic, and plenty of spices.
We’re happy to share a delicious twist on shakshuka: Ravioli Shakshuka with Shrimp. In this version, we use ravioli and fresh shrimp instead of the traditional ingredients. The combination of fresh ravioli, flavorful tomato sauce, and colorful shrimp makes this dish a true taste sensation. Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 eggs
- 10 large shrimp
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 120 milliliters vegetable or chicken broth
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 bag spinach
- 1 bag cheese ravioli
- 80 grams crumbled feta
- Parsley
- Crusty bread for dipping
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the bell pepper and onions and sauté until soft, about 10 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the tomato paste, paprika, and red pepper flakes, stirring until the mixture coats the pan.
- Finally, add the tomatoes and broth and bring to a boil.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- After simmering, add the ravioli and cook covered, until al dente, about 4 to 6 minutes.
- Sauté the shrimp in a separate pan with a bit of oil, then add them to the dish.
Sprinkle with feta and parsley and serve with crusty bread for dipping. Enjoy your meal!
