Care basics
- Always let the pan cool down before washing it. That prevents warping.
- Cast iron: warm water and a brush, no soap. Then a light coat of oil.
- Stainless steel and ceramic: soft sponge, mild soap, no abrasives.
- Store pans with a cloth between the lids to avoid scratches.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a casserole pan and a sauté pan?
A casserole pan is deeper and heavier, made for slow stewing and oven use. A sauté pan is shallower with straight walls, better for quicker frying and shorter stews.
Can my casserole pan go in the dishwasher?
Cast iron, better not, it can rust. Stainless steel and ceramic versions usually can, but handwashing extends their lifespan.
How long does a casserole pan last?
Cast iron lasts generations, which is why we give a 25-year warranty on cast iron models. On other casserole pans you get 7 years' manufacturing warranty and 2 years on the coating. Plus 60 days of trial cooking.
