Induction wok pan: fast stir-frying on your induction hob

Wokking on induction is quick, as long as your wok pan is made for it. Every Cook & Pan wok pan has a flat, magnetic base that makes full contact with your induction zone. Inside there is a smooth ceramic non-stick coating without PFAS, so vegetables, chicken and noodles do not stick. Choose a light aluminium wok or sturdy stainless steel from our Honey line.

What makes a wok pan suitable for induction?

  • Magnetic base: induction only heats pans with a magnetic base. Does a magnet stick to the underside? Then the pan works on induction.
  • Flat base: a traditional round-bottomed wok only touches the hob at one point and barely heats up on induction. An induction wok pan has a flat base.
  • The right size: put your wok on the largest cooking zone and the base heats up evenly.

How to wok on induction

Preheat your wok pan on a medium setting with a splash of oil, then move up to a maximum of 80% power. Keep the pan on the hob and stir or toss with a wooden or silicone spatula: if you lift the wok to shake it, the induction hob stops heating. Wok in small batches so everything stays crisp instead of stewing. Best to leave the boost setting alone: you don't need it, and it can warp the base of your pan.

Which induction wok pan suits you?

  • Ceramic wok pan with aluminium body: light in the hand and quick to heat. Browse our ceramic wok pans, in several colours.
  • Stainless steel wok pan from the Honey line: sturdier and more scratch-resistant, with the same smooth ceramic coating. Browse all stainless steel pots and pans.

Which size induction wok pan?

Our wok pans are 30 cm, the size that makes it easy to stir-fry for two to four people. Put it on your largest cooking zone and the base heats up nice and evenly.

How long does an induction wok pan last?

Our wok pans come with a 7-year warranty on manufacturing and material defects and a 2-year warranty on the performance of the ceramic coating. With the right care, you will be wokking with it for much longer. Want to feel whether it suits you first? You get 60 days of try-cooking.

Frequently asked questions about induction wok pans

Does every wok work on induction?

No. The wok needs a magnetic and flat base. A round-bottomed wok does not work well on induction. All our wok pans have a flat, magnetic base.

Can I lift my wok while wokking on induction?

You can, but as soon as the base leaves the hob, heating stops. So keep the pan down as much as possible and stir with a spatula.

Is an induction wok pan PFAS-free?

Ours are. The ceramic coating contains no PFAS, PFOA or PTFE. Also browse all our wok pans without PFAS.

Does an induction wok pan also work on gas?

Yes. Our wok pans work on induction, gas, ceramic and electric hobs. On gas, keep the flame under the base, not up the sides.

Can I try an induction wok pan first?

Yes. You get 60 days of try-cooking. If the wok turns out not to suit you, just let us know.
