Induction pots and pans that keep up with your hob
Induction is fast, efficient and precise. But only if your pots and pans play along. Every pot and pan from Cook & Pan has a magnetic base, so every induction pan in our range heats up in no time and spreads the heat evenly right to the edge. No half-cooked edges, no hassle.
How does cooking on induction work?
An induction hob creates a magnetic field. That field does not heat the hob itself, it heats the base of your pan directly. So very little heat is lost, and your pan reacts the moment you change the setting. The one condition: the pan needs a magnetic base. Without one, it simply stays cold.
Which pots and pans work on induction?
Not sure about an old pan? Hold a magnet against the base. If it sticks, the pan works on induction. With our induction pans there is nothing to test: every one has a magnetic base, whichever material you choose.
- Aluminium with ceramic non-stick coating: light, quick to heat and smooth. Ideal for everyday frying with little oil. Browse our ceramic pans.
- Stainless steel: sturdy, scratch-resistant and made to last for years. Great for searing and sauces.
- Cast iron: holds heat like nothing else. Perfect for stews and a proper steak.

Looking for straight, high sides to reduce sauces or sauté at a relaxed pace? Take a look at our straight-sided sauté pan. Like the rest of our range, it works on induction too.
Prefer to sort it all in one go? Choose a cookware set for induction, all in the same colour and style.
The right size induction pan for your cooking zone
Choose a pan with a base roughly the same size as the cooking zone. Too small, and your hob may not recognise it. Too large, and the edges stay cooler. For everyday use, a 24 or 28 cm frying pan is usually the right call.
Induction pans without PFAS
None of our pots and pans contain PFAS, PFOA or any other fluoropolymer. That includes our pots and pans for induction. Want the full overview with that promise front and centre? Take a look at our PFAS-free pans.
Frequently asked questions about pots and pans for induction
Do all Cook & Pan pots and pans work on induction?
Yes. Every pot and pan has a magnetic base and works on induction, gas, ceramic and electric hobs.
How do I know if my pan is suitable for induction?
Hold a magnet against the base. If it sticks, your pan is suitable for induction. If it slides off, it is time for a new one.
Do induction pans work on gas too?
Absolutely. Our induction pans also work on gas, ceramic and electric hobs. Handy when you move house or cook on holiday.
Is it normal for my induction pan to hum softly?
Yes. A soft hum on a high setting is part of how induction works and says nothing about the quality of your pan. Turn the setting down and it usually gets quieter.
Can pots and pans for induction go in the dishwasher?
Our ceramic pans are dishwasher safe. Still, washing by hand keeps the coating looking good for longer. Cast iron is always washed by hand.
Can I try an induction pan first?
Yes. You get 60 days of try-cooking. If the pan turns out not to suit you, just let us know.
