Ceramic sauté pan: anything with a sauce, without sticking
A Cook & Pan ceramic sauté pan has a smooth ceramic non-stick coating, without PFAS, PTFE or any other synthetic coating. Vegetables, chicken and a creamy risotto slide right off, and a drop of oil is enough to fry. The high sides keep sauce and liquid in the pan, so you can make a complete meal in one pan.

How does a ceramic non-stick coating work?
The coating is made of silicon oxide, a mineral also found in sand and glass. It is applied to the pan at high temperature and cured into a smooth, hard layer. No plastic and no polymer, so nothing from the coating ends up in your food.
Ceramic sauté pan: aluminium or stainless steel?
Both have the same smooth ceramic coating. A ceramic sauté pan with an aluminium body is light and quick to heat, in 24 and 28 cm and in several colours. A sauté pan from our Honey line is made of stainless steel: sturdier, more scratch-resistant and a little heavier in the hand, in 24 cm. Also browse all stainless steel pots and pans.
What do you use a ceramic sauté pan for?
For pasta you finish in the sauce, risotto, curry, a quick stew or vegetables with chicken. A ceramic sauté pan is at its best on a low to medium setting: fry briefly, then let it simmer gently. Often searing meat at full power? Then a cast iron pan is a better fit.
Ceramic sauté pan for induction
Our ceramic sauté pans have a flat, magnetic base and work on induction, gas, ceramic and electric hobs. Cooking on induction? Also read our tips on the induction sauté pan page.
How to keep your ceramic sauté pan smooth for longer
A ceramic coating is hard, but it does not like shocks. Use a wooden or silicone spatula, let the pan cool for a moment before rinsing and preferably wash it by hand with a soft sponge. Baked-on sauce comes off easily if you let the pan soak in warm water for a while.
How long does a ceramic sauté pan last?
Your ceramic sauté pan comes with a 7-year warranty on manufacturing and material defects and a 2-year warranty on the performance of the ceramic coating. With the right care, you will be cooking with it for much longer. Want to feel whether it suits you first? You get 60 days of try-cooking.
Frequently asked questions about ceramic sauté pans
Is there PFAS in a ceramic sauté pan?
No. Our ceramic coating contains no PFAS, PFOA or PTFE. Also browse all our sauté pans without PFAS.
Which size ceramic sauté pan should I choose?
A 24 cm sauté pan is great for one or two people, with 28 cm you easily cook for three or four.
Can a ceramic sauté pan go in the dishwasher?
It can, but washing by hand keeps the ceramic coating looking good for longer.
Why does my ceramic sauté pan stick?
Usually the heat is too high, or there is a thin layer of burnt-on fat on the base. Cook on a medium setting and clean the pan thoroughly with warm water and a soft sponge.
Can I try a ceramic sauté pan first?
Yes. You get 60 days of try-cooking. If the pan turns out not to suit you, just let us know.
